Wiki Drops Madlib Produced Track “Eggs”

NYC rapper and potential heir to DeBlasio’s throne Wiki dropped the audio for a Madlib produced single Eggs. This is the first single Wiki dropped since announcing that he is no longer signed to XL records, whom he had been signed to in some form since 2012. Wiki has appeared to have started his own label, Wikset Enterprises. He kept his bars with him after leaving XL, rapping “Young Hovito he a sensei // I’m Tito Puente mixed with Big Daddy Kane”. It doesn’t matter if you want your eggs scrambled or poached, if you step in Wiki’s way things are not about to be sunny side up.

Madlib continues his one hundred percent hit rate with this beat. He flipped a soul sample or two or three into a tight boom bap beat and Kurt Kryptoknight came thru with the fire DJ scratching to set the golden era NYC vibe in stone. The track by no means sounds dated however, it’s just a couple artists going back to the basics doing what they do best.

Wiki teased a potential animated music video for the track in his instagram stories, look for that and hopefully more Wiki and Madlib tracks in the near future.

Check Eggs out on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music now.
